Chaotic Good Jewelry Co. Visual Identity

Design:

Branding & Packaging

Chaotic Good Jewelry Co. is a small jewelry business created by Alison Baskerville that focuses on products inspired by powerful feminine energy in the workplace and classic Halloween costumes. Each piece is handcrafted with resin and mica powder that produces playful yet bold jewelry.

The brand design focused on creating something dynamic and fun that was dark but not intimidating. Bold colors, retro typography, and camp were all things that inspired the creator to start her brand and were all translated into this visual identity.

The Product

One of the main products Allison created when she approached me for this project is her signature Fang Earrings. This product is the biggest influence for this branding project.

The Logo

The logo uses retro typography for a spooky yet fun vibe. It is timeless, playful, and exciting. The icon pulls inspiration from Allison’s signature product and forces her customers to remember who she is.

Color Palette

The client requested a color palette that is feminine and bold. Warm colors embrace the the chaotic energy of the brand and demand customers attentions. Although the client specifically requested shades of pink, red, and violet they enjoyed the pleasant surprise of Glow to the palette that plays on a new signature item: glow in the dark jewelry.

Pattern

This project had only a few deliverables due to a tight budget. A simple pattern was created to diversify assets and add a punch of energy.

Business Card

Allison sells her jewelry in many shops around the country and she needed to ensure her sellers always had her info on hand. Although she sells in stores she still visits many local craft shows and markets to sell her product herself. These business cards not only function by sharing her info, they can also be used as earring backings.

The Box

To protect her jewelry during the shipping process, Allison packages all products in a jewelry box. She wanted something unique that customers would keep, reuse, and display. Custom foil on the packaging creates a box that customers want to keep in their possession and share on social media.

Mailing Essentials

Additional packaging with a custom bubble mailer and stickers makes receiving new jewelry even more exciting. These custom materials surprise customers and make the business look more professional.
